Alex BORAINE, Founder of the International Centre for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) and former Vice-Chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of South Africa, gave a general presentation on the concept of transitional justice, emphasising that it was not contrary to the concept of criminal justice; indeed, it was a broader and deeper way of seeing justice that was not based solely on punishment.
