The Mission would constitute the international component of a tripartite Monitoring and Verification Mechanism, with the participation of members of the Government of Colombia and FARC-EP, to oversee the bilateral ceasefire and definitive cessation of hostilities and, in its own capacity, to verify the laying down of arms.
