7 Ačkoli potřeba činného apoštolátu je naléhavá, přece společnosti, které jsou zcela zaměřeny na kontemplaci tak, že se jejich členové věnují jedině Bohu v samotě a mlčení, ve stálé modlitbě a ochotném pokání, mají stále vynikající místo v Kristově tajemném těle, jehož „údy nemají všechny stejnou činnost“ (srov. Řím 12,4).
