There are two archaeological sites in Afghanistan registered as UNESCO World Heritage: Minaret and Archaeological Remains of Jam in Ghor Province and Cultural Landscape and Archaeological Remains of the Bamiyan Valley, inscribed in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
