Für die Regulation der A. hep.-Durchblutung wird ein myogener Entstehungsmodus angenommen; das Verhalten von Pfortader- und Gesamtdurchblutung dürfte weitgehend von der blutdruckabhängigen Regulation des Mesenterialkreislaufs bestimmt sein.

The hepatic arterial flow reaction, being described here is probably of a myogenic nature. In contrary to that pressure flow relationship of portal venous flow and total liver flow presumably is being dependant to response of the mesenteric circulation to peripherial systemic blood pressure.
