Das SANDRA-Projekt demonstrierte außerdem erstmalig in Europa im Zusammenhang mit existierenden Datenverknüpfungstechnologien wie beispielsweise VHF Data Link Mode 2 und Swift Broad Band Satcom die AeroMACS-Technologie, die erste der drei neuen IP-basierten Breitbanddatenverbindungen (neben L-DACS und IRIS Satcom), die von der Internationalen Zivilluftfahrtorganisation (International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO) für den zukünftigen Bedarf der Luftfahrt bestimmt wurden.

Together with existing data-link technologies, such as VHF Data Link Mode 2 and Swift Broad Band Satcom, the SANDRA project also demonstrated for the first time in Europe the AeroMACS technology, the first of the three new IP-based broadband data-links (the other being L-DACS and IRIS Satcom) identified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for future aeronautical needs.

En conjunción con las tecnologías de enlace de datos disponibles -VHF Data Link Mode 2 y Swift Broad Band Satcom-, el proyecto SANDRA también demostró por vez primera en Europa la tecnología AeroMACS, la primera de tres tecnologías de enlaces de datos de banda ancha basadas en IP seleccionadas por la Organización de Aviación Civil Internacional (OACI) para suplir las futuras necesidades de la aviación, siendo L-DACS e IRIS Satcom la segunda y la tercera respectivamente.

Wraz z istniejącymi technologiami łączy danych, takimi jak VHF Data Link Mode 2 i Swift Broad Band Satcom, w ramach projektu SANDRA swoją premierę w Europie miała także technologia AeroMACS, pierwszy z trzech nowych, szerokopasmowych kanałów transmisji danych opartych na IP (pozostałe to L-DACS oraz IRIS Satcom), który Organizacja Międzynarodowego Lotnictwa Cywilnego (ICAO) wybrała do zaspokojenia potrzeb aeronautycznych w przyszłości.
