Angesichts der Komplexität der Materie erweist sich in der Tat ein fachgebietsübergreifender gemeinsamer Ansatz als notwendig; eine Anstrengung, die alle betroffenen menschlichen Wirklichkeiten, seien sie nun institutionell oder nicht, auf den Plan ruft, unter ihnen auch die katholische Kirche, die seit jeher in Jesus Christus, ihrem gekreuzigten und auferstandenen Herrn, Anregung und Motivation findet, denn er ist sowohl Bild des Kranken (»Christus patiens«) als auch des Arztes (»Christus medicus«, der barmherzige Samariter).

Given the complexity of the subject, indeed, a multidisciplinary and joint approach is necessary; an effort that calls on all the human realities involved, whether institutional or otherwise. Amongst them there is also the Catholic Church which has always found a motivation and impulse in her Lord, Jesus Christ, who was crucified and rose again, the figure both of the patient (‘Christus patiens’) and the physician (‘Christus medicus’, the Good Samaritan).

Dada la complejidad de la materia, de hecho, resulta necesario un acercamiento multidisciplinario y conjunto; un esfuerzo que involucra a todas las realidades humanas interesadas, institucionales y no, y entre ellas también a la Iglesia Católica, que desde siempre encuentra motivación e impulso en su Señor, Cristo Jesús, el Crucificado Resucitado, icono tanto del enfermo (el “Christus patiens”) como del médico (el “Christus medicus”, el Buen Samaritano).
