Si bien a nivel nacional general algunos indicadores socioeconómicos han mejorado, es necesario abordar las disparidades a nivel subnacional en el norte (Trípoli y Akkar/Minnieh-Dennieh), el sur (Jezzine/Saida) y la región del valle de Beqaa (Hermel/Baalbeck), donde se concentran casi dos tercios de las personas que viven por debajo del umbral de pobreza en el Líbano
