Ferdinand III's initial repartimiento overlapped that of Alfonso X, which clearly distinguished two sections, depending on the recipient of the properties distributed: donadíos (large estates) were granted when the beneficiaries were members of the royal family, the nobility, or military orders, and heredamientos (small landed properties) were granted to the settlers themselves.

Al repartimiento inicial de Fernando III se superpone el de Alfonso X en el que se distinguen claramente dos secciones, en función del destinatario de las propiedades distribuidas: «donadíos» cuando los beneficiarios son miembros de la familia real u órdenes militares y «heredamientos» cuando son concedidas a los pobladores propiamente dichos.
