Let no one be deceived by the fallacies of human philosophy or led astray by the quibbles of human speech; let no one corrupt by perverse innovation or weaken by doubt the dogma confirmed at Chalcedon, namely, that there are in Christ two true and perfect natures, the divine and the human, not confused one with another, but joined together and subsisting in the one person of the Word.

Ninguno, halagado por las aberraciones de la humana filosofía y engañado de los caprichos del lenguaje humano, ose destruir con duda o adulterar con innovaciones en Calcedonia, es decir: que en Cristo hay dos verdaderas y perfectas naturalezas, una divina y otra humana, unidas a la vez, pero sin confusión, y subsistentes en la única Persona del Verbo.

Nessuno, allettato dalle aberrazioni dell'umana filosofia e ingannato dalle tortuosità del linguaggio umano, osi scuotere col dubbio o pervertire con nocive innovazioni il dogma definito a Calcedonia, che cioè in Cristo ci sono due vere e perfette nature, una divina e l'altra umana, congiunte insieme ma non confuse, e sussistenti nell'unica persona del Verbo.
