ومن ثم يتطلب أي خيار يقرر مجلس الأمن الأخذ به إشراك المجلس الكامل والإيجابي للطرفين في العمل معه، بغية معالجة المسائل القانونية والسياسية والأمنية، بما في ذلك تنفيذ قرارات لجنة الحدود، وفقا لاتفاقي الجزائر، الأمر الذي يجعل تطبيق العلاقات بين الطرفين أمرا ممكنا.

Any option decided upon by the Security Council would therefore require the full and active engagement of the Council with the two parties, with a view to addressing the underlying legal, political and security issues, including the implementation of the decisions of the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission, in accordance with the Algiers Agreements, which should make it possible to normalize the relations between the parties.
