ولا يوجد تعريف رسمي للمتعاقدين من المؤسسات أو الشركات، ولكن الأمر الإداري ST/AI/327، ينص على أنه يجوز الحصول على الخدمات المؤقتة التي يوفرها الأفراد وتحتاج إليها المنظمة من وقت إلى آخر عن طريق تعيينهم بوصفهم متعاقدين بموجب عقد يتم إبرامه مباشرة مع إحدى المؤسسات أو الشركات.

There is no formal definition of an institutional or corporate contractor, but administrative instruction ST/AI/327 states that the temporary services of individuals required by the Organization from time to time may be obtained by their engagement as contractors under a contract entered into directly with an institution or a corporation.
