The paint composition contains a carboxyl group-containing reaction product having an acid value of 50‐200 mg KOH/g and a number average molecular weight of 600‐5000 that is obtained by means of a half-esterification reaction of an acid anhydride with (A) a carboxyl group-containing polymer, (B) an epoxy group-containing acrylic resin, and (C) a polycarbonate polyol having three or more hydroxyl groups per molecule.
