واعترافا بنجاح قواعد الأونسيترال للتحكيم ومكانتها، رأت اللجنة عموما أنه ينبغي لأي تنقيح لتلك القواعد ألا يغير هيكل النص أو روحه أو أسلوبه الصياغي وأن يراعي مرونة النص فلا يجعله أكثر تعقّدا.

In recognition of the success and status of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, the Commission was generally of the view that any revision of the Rules should not alter the structure of the text, its spirit or its drafting style and should respect the flexibility of the text rather than make it more complex.
