وأبلغ الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات الشراكة بأنه يعمل على إجراء استعراض كمي لمؤشرات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، بالتعاون مع معهد اليونسكو للإحصاء وإدارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية ومنظمة الصحة العالمية بهدف تحديد مجموعة من المؤشرات القابلة للقياس التي يمكن أن يطبقها أصحاب المصلحة على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي لرصد التقدم المحرز في تحقيق غايات القمة العالمية لمجتمع المعلومات، وتقييم ما أُنجز حتى الآن فيما يتعلق بتحقيق تلك الغايات.

ITU informed the Partnership that it was working on a quantitative review of the ICT indicators, in collaboration with the UNESCO Institute of Statistics, the Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the World Health Organization (WHO), in order to identify a set of measurable indicators that could be applied by national and international stakeholders to monitor progress in achieving the World Summit on the Information Society targets, and to take stock of what had been achieved to date in terms of reaching the targets.

La UIT informó a la Asociación de que estaba trabajando en un examen cuantitativo de los indicadores de las TIC, en colaboración con el Instituto de Estadística de la UNESCO, el Departamento de Asuntos Económicos y Sociales y la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), con objeto de seleccionar una serie de indicadores mensurables que puedan ser aplicados por los interesados nacionales e internacionales para evaluar los avances en el logro de las metas de la Cumbre Mundial sobre la Sociedad de la Información, y para hacer balance de los logros conseguidos hasta la fecha respecto de la consecución de esas metas.

L’UIT a informé le Partenariat qu’elle procédait à un examen quantitatif des indicateurs relatifs aux TIC, en collaboration avec l’Institut de statistique de l’UNESCO, le Département des affaires économiques et sociales et l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS), dans le but de déterminer un ensemble d’indicateurs mesurables, susceptibles d’être utilisés par les partenaires nationaux et internationaux pour mesurer les progrès accomplis vers la réalisation des cibles énoncées lors du Sommet mondial sur la société de l’information et de faire un premier bilan des résultats obtenus à ce stade.
