We will consider it for corneas that are scarred in the visual axis, that as result of bad usage of contact lenses they create friction, abscesses or hydrops. Also, when there is an intolerance to contact lenses, when segment implantation is not an option, or when there is an excesive thinning on the implant area, or when we have big cones with a high keratometry.

Cuando tengamos cicatrices en el eje visual bien por mal adaptación de lente de contacto que produzca roce, por abscesos o por hydrops, cuando haya una intolerancia a lentes de contacto, la imposibilidad de poner anillos intracorneales, o un adelgazamiento excesivo en la zona del implante, cuando tengamos conos ya muy grandes con queratometrias muy altas.
