وقد ترغب لجنة حقوق الإنسان في فحص إمكان تعديل النظام الداخلي للمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي فيما يتعلق بمشاركة المؤسسات الوطنية؛ بيد أن اللجنة أيضاً قد لا ترى ضرورة لمثل هذه الخطوة إذا ما وافقت على عملية اعتماد يقبل بها أعضاؤها، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار أيضاً أن استمرار إشراف المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان، التي تضطلع بدور الأمانة للجنة التنسيق الدولية، يوفر مستوىً إضافياً من المساءلة في إطار عملية الاعتماد.

The Commission may wish to consider the possibility of an amendment to the rules of procedure of the Economic and Social Council concerning the participation of NIs; however, the Commission may also consider such a step unnecessary provided that it agrees on an accreditation process that is acceptable to its members, bearing in mind also that continued oversight by OHCHR, as the secretariat to the ICC, provides an added level of accountability in the accreditation process.

La Comisión podría estudiar la posibilidad de modificar el reglamento del Consejo Económico y Social en relación con la participación de las instituciones nacionales; no obstante, la Comisión podría considerar también que esa medida es innecesaria siempre y cuando convenga en un proceso de acreditación aceptable para sus miembros, teniendo en cuenta también que si el ACNUDH sigue desempeñando una función de supervisión, en su calidad de secretaría del CIC, existe un grado más de rendición de cuentas en el proceso de acreditación.

La Commission pourrait envisager la possibilité d’une modification du règlement intérieur du Conseil économique et social concernant la participation des institutions nationales, mais elle peut aussi estimer que cette mesure est inutile dès lors qu’elle souscrit à un processus d’accréditation qui est acceptable à ses membres, sachant également que la surveillance continue exercée par le HCDH, dans la mesure où il fait office de secrétariat du CIC, renforce le degré de responsabilisation dans le processus d’accréditation.

Комиссия, возможно, пожелает рассмотреть вопрос о внесении в правила процедуры Экономического и Социального Совета поправки, касающейся участия НУ; вместе с тем Комиссия может также счесть такую меру ненужной при условии, что она придет к согласию в отношении процедуры аккредитации, которая будет приемлема для ее членов, с учетом того что по‐прежнему выполняемая УВКПЧ, действующего в качестве секретариата МКК, функция надзора обеспечивает дополнительный элемент подотчетности в процедуре аккредитации.
