ونظرا لجسامة المشكلة، أرسل برنامج الأغذية العالمي ووكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في الشرق الأدنى (الأونروا) وهيئات أخرى معونة غذائية طارئة إلى الأسر الفلسطينية التي تعاني من سوء التغذية، بما في ذلك اللاجئـــون الفلسطينيــــون.

Because of the magnitude of the problem, the World Food Programme, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and others have organized emergency food aid to the malnourished Palestinian families, including Palestine refugees.
