”أتوجه إليكم جميعا، باسم شعبنا الفلسطيني وقيادته، منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، الممثل الشرعي والوحيد لشعبنا بأطيب وأصدق التحيات المقرونة بجزيل الشكر وعظيم التقدير لمشاركتكم في إحياء هذه المناسبة التي أقرتها الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة كيوم دولي للتضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني في كفاحه المشروع للخلاص من نير الاحتلال وتقرير مصيره وفقا لقرارات الشرعية الدولية وإجماع العالم بأسره.

“On behalf of the Palestinian people and their leadership, the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative of our people, I wish to extend our warmest and friendliest greetings, coupled with deepest gratitude and appreciation, to all those who join us in commemorating this occasion, which was designated by the General Assembly as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People in their legitimate struggle to end the occupation and to exercise their right to self-determination, in accordance with resolutions of international legitimacy and the consensus of the entire world.
