In order to give effect to requests to withdraw notices of motion or Private Bill Notices, the Speaker has issued a private ruling to the effect that prior notice of a bill or motion may be withdrawn at any time from the Order Paper by means of a written request to the Secretary General or an oral request made during the sitting to the Speaker.

Pour donner suite à des demandes de retrait d'avis de motion ou d'avis de projet de loi d'intérêt privé, le Président a rendu une décision en privé (private ruling) stipulant qu'un préavis de projet de loi ou de motion peut être retiré en tout temps du Feuilleton par l'entremise d'une demande écrite adressée au Secrétaire général ou d'une demande verbale adressée, en cours de séance, au Président.
