The Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) is currently designated as an affiliate of Al-Qaida Iraq by the ISIL and Al Qaeda UNSC Sanctions Committee and is subject to sanctions under UN Security Council Resolution 1267 (1999) and all its subsequent resolutions.
