Also the Children Act of Zanzibar prohibits a child to be subjected to any inhuman treatment: “No child shall be subjected to violence, torture, or other cruel, inhuman or degrading punishment or treatment or any cultural or traditional practice which dehumanizes or is injurious to his physical and mental well-being.”

Además, la Ley del Niño de Zanzíbar prohíbe que se someta a los niños a cualquier trato inhumano: "No se someterá a ningún niño a actos violentos, tortura, u otros tratos o castigos crueles, inhumanos o degradantes, ni a cualquier práctica cultural o tradicional que lo deshumanice o resulte perjudicial para el bienestar físico o mental del niño".

Par ailleurs, la loi de Zanzibar relative aux enfants interdit de soumettre un enfant à des traitements inhumains: «Aucun enfant ne sera soumis à la violence, à la torture ou autre peine ou traitement cruels, inhumains ou dégradants ou à aucune pratique culturelle ou traditionnelle qui déshumanise ou est préjudiciable à son bien-être physique et mental.»
