The year 2009 marked a milestone in the history of the Plurinational State of Bolivia: for the first time, the people, exercising its sovereignty through a free and direct vote, decided to approve the new State Constitution, drafted by the Constituent Assembly and amended by the National Congress, and move towards the collective construction of a unitary, social, plurinational, communitarian, democratic, intercultural and decentralized, State, governed by the rule of law and with autonomous entities that deepen and consolidate a Bolivia whose watchwords are dignity, sovereignty, productivity and democracy.

En el Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia, en 2009, se marcó un hito en su historia: por primera vez el soberano a través del voto libre y directo, decidió aprobar la Nueva Constitución Política del Estado, elaborada por la Asamblea Constituyente y ajustada por el Congreso Nacional para avanzar hacia la construcción colectiva del Estado Unitario Social de Derecho Plurinacional Comunitario, Democrático, Intercultural, Descentralizado y con Autonomías que profundice y consolide una Bolivia Digna, Democrática, Productiva y Soberana

L’année 2009 a marqué une étape historique pour la Bolivie: pour la première fois, par un vote libre et direct, le peuple a décidé d’approuver la nouvelle Constitution, élaborée par l’Assemblée constituante et adaptée par le Congrès national afin de progresser vers la construction collective de l’État unitaire social de droit plurinational communautaire, démocratique, interculturel, décentralisé, avec des autonomies qui renforcent et consolident une Bolivie digne, souveraine, productive et démocratique.
