While Moon's Defense Ministry offered to conduct military talks with Pyongyang, the National Red Cross served up the idea of having discussions that could lead to the reunion of families torn apart by the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. While some experts were optimistic about the prospects for military talks, they were less hopeful that family reunions would be discussed.
