وأحاطت اللجنة الفرعية علما مع التقدير بتبرّع البرنامج الياباني لتقديم المساعدة الإنمائية الرسمية بمرافق تلسكوبية وقبّة فلكية (بلانيتاريوم)، وبالمساعدات التقنية التي قدمها المرصد الفلكي الوطني في اليابان (NAOJ) والوكالة اليابانية للتعاون الدولي (JICA)، حيث إن ذلك أسهم طوال أكثر من 20 سنة في تطوير ميدان العلوم الأساسية، وخاصة من أجل دعم التعليم والأبحاث في البلدان النامية.

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation the donation of telescope facilities and a planetarium by the official development assistance programme of Japan, as well as the provision of technical assistance by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, which had contributed, for more than 20 years, to the development of basic science, especially in support of education and research in developing countries.

La Subcomisión tomó nota con reconocimiento de la donación de instalaciones de telescopios y un planetario por el programa de asistencia oficial para el desarrollo del Japón, así como del suministro de asistencia técnica por parte del Observatorio Astronómico Nacional del Japón y el Organismo Japonés de Cooperación Internacional, que habían contribuido, durante más de 20 años, al desarrollo de la ciencia básica, especialmente en lo que respecta al fomento de la educación y la investigación en los países en desarrollo.

Le Sous-Comité a noté avec satisfaction qu’un télescope et un planétarium avaient été donnés par le programme japonais d’aide publique au développement, et qu’une assistance technique était fournie par l’Observatoire astronomique national japonais et l’Organisme japonais de coopération internationale, ce qui contribuait depuis plus de 20 ans à la diffusion des sciences fondamentales, en particulier à l’appui de l’enseignement et de la recherche dans les pays en développement.

Подкомитет с удовлетворением отметил, что японская программа официальной помощи в целях развития, передающая в дар телескопы и планетарии, и Национальная астрономическая обсерватория Японии и Японское агентство по международному сотрудничеству, оказывающие техническую помощь, на протяжении более чем 20 лет содействуют развитию фундаментальной науки, особенно образовательной и исследовательской деятельности в развивающихся странах.
