The Government, in view of the important role of science and technology for the development of the country, established the Royal Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (RONAST) in 1982 with a view to fulfilling the objectives of promoting, developing and undertaking research studies in various areas of science and technology on a priority basis.

Habida cuenta del importante papel de la ciencia y la tecnología para el desarrollo del país, el Gobierno estableció la Real Academia de Ciencias y Tecnología de Nepal en 1982 con vistas a alcanzar los objetivos de promoción, desarrollo y realización de estudios de investigación en diversas esferas de la ciencia y la tecnología con carácter prioritario.
