Nevertheless, in Galicia thousands of hectares have burned in another summer of fires, triggered by factors such as the abdication of its responsibilities by the Galician government, which is incapable of developing a comprehensive and effective fire-prevention policy, job insecurity and worker cutbacks in the various fire-fighting bodies, and an agricultural policy which is emptying rural areas and allowing — and even promoting — the afforestation of agricultural land.

Sin embargo, en Galiza, un verano más los incendios han vuelto a quemar miles de hectáreas favorecidos por factores como: la dejación del Gobierno gallego que no es capaz de desarrollar una política contra incendios integral y efectiva, la precariedad y recortes que sufren los trabajadores y trabajadoras de los distintos cuerpos que luchan contra el fuego o una política agraria que vacía el medio rural y permite y promueve la forestación de tierras agrarias.
