اتفق وزيرا الخارجية على أن يمارس البلدان أقصى درجات ضبط النفس لتجنّب احتمال حدوث مجابهة مسلّحة، بحيث يمكن تسوية المشكلة الحالية عن طريق الوسائل السلمية، باستخدام الآليات الثنائية القائمة، بما في ذلك اجتماع وزيري الخارجية واللجنة المشتركة التايلندية الكمبودية لترسيم الحدود البرية بين البلدين التي تأسست بموجب مذكرة التفاهم الموقّعة عام 2000 بشأن مسح الحدود البرية وترسيمها.

The two Foreign Ministers agreed that both countries should exercise the utmost restraint to avoid the possibility of armed confrontation, so that the current problem may be settled through peaceful means, using existing bilateral mechanisms, including the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and the Thailand-Cambodian Joint Commission on Demarcation for Land Boundary which was set up by the 2000 Memorandum of Understanding on the Survey and Demarcation of Land Boundary.
