The helicopter had skid-type landing gear and was modified with an external work platform under the authority of Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) C-LSH11-012/D. The STC allowed the helicopter to carry out Class D external load operations. The helicopter was also modified with an inlet barrier filter (IBF) system under the authority of STC SH04-24.

L'hélicoptère était muni d'un train d'atterrissage à patins et avait été modifié par l'ajout d'une plateforme de travail externe conformément au certificat de type supplémentaire (CTS) C-LSH11-012/D. Ce CTS permettait l'exécution de travaux avec charge externe de classe D. L'hélicoptère avait en outre été modifié par l'ajout d'un filtre-écran d'entrée d'air conformément au CTS SH04-24.
