These officers are personally answerable for: the supply of provisions and consumer goods to the population; the health, education and social welfare situation; legality and law and order; the supply of water, gas, electricity and other public services; public transport performance; the redevelopment of towns, settlements and other populated areas; and the state of affairs in other domains in the territory under their jurisdiction.
