BSG-Kontrolle in 14tägigem Abstand beim Hausarzt; monatliche zusätzliche Kontrolle mittels Epipharyngoskopie, orientierender Hörprüfung und Untersuchung der lokalen Lymphabflußwege beim Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Facharzt oder in der Tumorambulanz; bei erneutem BSG-Anstieg sollte a) beim verhornenden Plattenepithelkarzinom, beim nicht verhornenden (entdifferenzierten) Plattenepithelkarzinom und beim anaplastischen Karzinom mit ausgeprägter lymphozytärer Infiltration sofort das Serum-Immunglobulin A bestimmt werden, b) Beim nicht verhornenden (entdifferenzierten) Plattenepithelkarzinom und beim anaplastischen Karzinom ohne lymphozytäre Infiltration ermitteln wir sofort den Titer der spezifischen EBV-Antikörper, insbesondere das IgA-anti-VCA.

The same tests were repeated at regular fixed intervals during therapy of these patient as well as post therapy. the histological classification of carcinoma of the epipharyngical region like fixed by the World Health Organization; the clinical staging like fixed by the International Union against Cancer; the blood sedimentation test; the quantitation of T- and B-Lymphocytes in peripheral blood; the detecting of antibodies to Epstein-Barr-viruses (especially of IgA-anti-VCA); the quantitation of immunoglobulins in the serum. The findings were correlated with the clinical staging and they were researched how to give an early diagnosis of a recurrence of NPC.
