H.E. Mr. Thani Thongpakdi, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, led the Thai delegation to the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (2019 HLPF), during 9-19 July 2019 at the United Nations Headquarters, New York. HLPF is convened annually as a platform for member states to follow-up and review the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda. The 2019 HLPF entitled "Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality" is a milestone as it ended the first four-year cycle since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda.

นายธานี ทองภักดี รองปลัดกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ได้นําคณะผู้แทนไทยเข้าร่วมการประชุม เวทีหารือทางการเมืองระดับสูงว่าด้วยการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ระหว่างวันที่ ๙-๑๙ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๒ ณ สํานักงานใหญ่สหประชาชาติ นครนิวยอร์ก การประชุมคครั้งนี้ เป็นการประชุมประจําปีเพื่อให้ประเทศต่าง ๆ ได้ร่วมทบทวนความคืบหน้าการดําเนินการตามวาระการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ค.ศ.๒๐๓๐ ของสหประชาชาติ (2030 Agenda) โดยครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งที่ ๔ นับแต่ประเทศต่าง ๆ ได้ร่วมรับรอง 2030 Agenda เมื่อปี ๒๕๕๘ หัวข้อหลักสําหรับปีนี้ คือ "Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality"
