ومن المتوقع أن يقوم المؤتمر، في إطار مجال التركيز المواضيعي المتفق عليه، بتناول مجموعة من القضايا الجديدة والناشئة ذات الصلة، لأغراض منها زيادة المرونة على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي، ودعم الجهود المبذولة لمواجهة الآثار السلبية للأزمات، ومنع تكرار أي أزمات مماثلة في المستقبل، إن أمكن.

Within its agreed thematic focus, the Conference was expected to address pertinent new and emerging issues, including with a view to increasing resilience at the national and international levels, supporting efforts to cope with negative impacts and, if possible, preventing any recurrence of similar crises in the future.
