Le Conseil m’ayant accordé l’insigne honneur de me présenter pour la première fois devant lui en tant que Représentant spécial du Secrétaire général, je ne saurais terminer mon exposé sans rendre hommage aux réalisations de mes prédécesseurs, qui ont accompagné la République démocratique du Congo tout au long d’un processus de paix qui fut à la fois long et difficile et qui ont su habilement, à maintes reprises, guider la MONUC à travers les crises qui ont parsemé son existence.
