The Geneva-based World Organization against Torture (OMCT) today constitutes the main international coalition of non-governmental organizations dedicated to fighting torture, summary executions, enforced disappearances, arbitrary detention, psychiatric confinement for political purposes and other forms of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
