With respect to persons missing as a result of ordinary offences, the Government referred to the activities of the Homicide Investigation Division, under the supervision of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminological Investigation Unit, and its Department of Investigations into Crimes against Human Life and Psychological and Physical Integrity, which is mandated to investigate offences against the person in the form of violent death
