Abrahamu Lincolnovi se připisuje citát: „Některé lidi můžete vodit za nos neustále, všechny lidi můžete vodit za nos načas, ale nelze vodit za nos všechny a napořád.“ Komplexní oprava eura v některých zemích zajisté v určitou chvíli proběhne, ale v brzké době to nebude ve všech zemích.

Abraham Lincoln wird der Satz zugeschrieben: „Man kann manchen Menschen immer etwas vormachen und allen Menschen manchmal etwas vormachen, aber man kann nicht allen Menschen immer etwas vormachen.“ Analog lässt sich sagen, dass es sicher irgendwann eine umfassende Eurolösung für manche Euroländer, aber auf absehbare Zeit keine umfassende Lösung für alle Euroländer geben wird.
