Said purpose is achieved by a method that produces high-purity guaiacyl vinyl ketone, the method being efficient under moderate conditions and including a step for obtaining guaiacyl vinyl ketone by bringing a basic substance and a 3-halogen-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1-propanone that is represented by general formula (1) into contact in a solvent.

Cet objet est atteint grâce à un procédé qui produit la guaïacyle vinyle cétone avec une pureté élevée, le procédé étant efficace dans des conditions modérées et comprenant une étape d'obtention de la guaïacyle vinyle cétone consistant à mettre en contact dans un solvant une substance basique et une 3-halogène-1-(4-hydroxy-3-méthoxyphényl)-propan-1-one représentée par la formule générale (1).
