The colours chosen have all a metaphoric value: the ground between the rivers and under the walls is red, as the blood poured and the eternal suffering of Belgrade; the walls and the tower are white since Belgrade is “the white city” and the sky is blue as symbol of hope and faith.

Los colores elegidos poseen un valor metafórico: el suelo entre los ríos y debajo de la paredes es rojo, rojo como el sufrimiento derramado de Belgrado. La torre y las paredes son blancas por ello que recibe el nombre de “Ciudad blanca”, por último el azul alude al cielo mismo que representa la esperanza y la fe.
