It is important that the Quartet participants have reaffirmed their firm stand on the necessity to tackle all the final status questions, namely the problem of refugee returns, the exact route along which the borders will run, and the problem of Jerusalem not unilaterally but through agreements of the parties, and have called for the avoidance of any unilateral steps which could complicate the solution of these questions.

Il est important que les membres du Quatuor aient confirmé leur ferme position sur le besoin de ne pas régler tous les problèmes concernant le statut définitif, notamment celui du retour des réfugiés, du tracé concret des frontières, le problème de Jérusalem, unilatéralement, mais par les accords des parties, et aient appelé à éviter tout pas unilatéral, qui puisse aggraver le règlement de ces problèmes.

Важно, что участники "квартета" подтвердили свою твердую позицию о необходимости решать все вопросы, касающиеся окончательного статуса, а именно проблемы возвращения беженцев, конкретного прохождения границ, проблему Иерусалима не в одностороннем порядке, а через договоренности сторон, и призвали избегать любых односторонних шагов, которые могли бы осложнить решение данных вопросов.
