Speaking at the conference, Mr. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Attorney General and Minister for Economy, Public Enterprises, Civil Service and Communications, Republic of Fiji, expressed his gratitude to the Government of India for its support and contribution to Fiji’s presidency of the COP-23. He reaffirmed that the creation of FIPIC in 2014 has resulted in closer ties between India and the Pacific Island nations, giving people a chance to better their lives.

सम्मेलन में बोलते हुए, श्री अयाज सय्यद-खैयम, महान्यायवादी तथा अर्थव्यवस्था, लोक उद्यम, सिविल सेवा और संचार मंत्री, फिजी गणराज्य, ने फिजी के सीओपी-23 के अध्यक्ष पद के लिए भारत सरकार के समर्थन और योगदान के लिए अपना आभार व्यक्त किया| उन्होंने दोबारा पुष्टि की कि 2014 में फिपिक के बनने से भारत और प्रशांत द्वीप राष्ट्रों के बीच ज्यादा करीबी संबंध हो गए हैं, जिससे लोगों को अपने जीवन को बेहतर बनाने का मौका मिलेगा।
