ترحب بتقرير الأمين العام ( # ) عن دور مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان في مساعدة حكومة وشعب كمبوديا في تعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان، وترحب أيضاً بموافقة حكومة كمبوديا على تجديد مذكرة التفاهم المتعلقة بمكتب بنوم بِنْ التابع للمفوضية السامية حتى آذار/مارس # ، وهو ما يمكِّن المكتب من مواصلة عملياته ومن مواصلة برامجه الخاصة بالتعاون التقني، وتشجع حكومة كمبوديا على مواصلة تعاونها مع المكتب؛

Welcomes the report of the Secretary-General ( # ) concerning the role of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in assisting the Government and people of Cambodia in the promotion and protection of human rights and also welcomes the agreement by the Government of Cambodia to extend the memorandum of understanding for the office of the High Commissioner at Phnom Penh until March # enabling the Office to continue its operations and to maintain its technical cooperation programmes, and encourages the Government to continue to cooperate with the Office

Acoge complacida el informe del Secretario General ( # ) sobre la función de la Oficina del Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Derechos Humanos en la prestación de asistencia al Gobierno y al pueblo para la tarea de promover y proteger los derechos humanos, y celebra el acuerdo del Gobierno de Camboya de prorrogar la validez del memorando de entendimiento de la oficina del Alto Comisionado en Phnom Penh hasta marzo de # gracias a lo cual dicha oficina podrá proseguir sus actividades y mantener sus programas de cooperación técnica, y alienta al Gobierno de Camboya a que siga cooperando con la oficina
