وتعدد الدولة الطرف الأسباب التي تجعل صاحب الشكوى لا يخشى سوء المعاملة من السلطات في بنغلاديش في حال عودته، وهي: أنه لم يزاول أنشطة سياسية منذ # ؛ وأنه قال للمسؤول عن استجوابه من مجلس الهجرة إن والدته هي التي خططت لرحيله؛ وأنه يدعي أنه قد تعرض للتعذيب في # ، ولكنه لم يبذل أي مجهود للمغادرة فورا بل مكث في البلد عدة سنوات بعد ذلك؛ وأن ما ذُكر عن الطلب الذي وجهته والدة صاحب الشكوى، في مقابلة مع صحيفة، إلى السلطات في بنغلاديش بشأن مساعدة ابنها كلام لا يستقيم إذا كانت تلك السلطات نفسها هي التي يخشى صاحب الشكوى سوء معاملتها

he State party enumerates the reasons why the complainant should not fear ill-treatment by the Bangladeshi authorities in the event of return: he has not been politically involved since # he told the interviewing official of the Migration Board that it was his mother who had planned for him to leave; although he alleges to have been tortured in # he made no effort to leave immediately and stayed on for several years thereafter; the fact that the complainant's mother asked, in an interview with a newspaper, the Bangladeshi authorities to help him makes no sense if the authorities themselves were the ones whom he feared would ill-treat him
