Sugestivo y simpático borgo ubicado a la izquierda de la orilla del torrente Staggia en el valle Valdelsa. Surge en el siglo XIII gracias a la voluntad de los Senesi (originarios de Siena) como castillo y construcción avanzada de la ciudad.

Ce bourg suggestif et gracieux se trouve sur la rive gauche du torrent Staggia, dans la Valdelsa. Érigé au XIIIe siècle par les Siennois comme château et position avancée de la ville, il fut aussitôt protégé par d’imposants murs d’enceinte porteurs de quatorze tours.
