At the United Nations Conference to Review Progress Made in the Implementation of the Programme of Action in 2006, and the United Nations Third Biennial Meeting of States on the Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons, in 2008, the representative of Nonviolence International again lobbied for the adoption of an arms trade treaty and the IANSA platform.
