يجب أن تكون النوافذ من الاتِّساع بحيث تمكِّن السجناء من استخدام الضوء الطبيعي في القراءة والعمل، وأن تكون مركَّبةً على نحو يتيح دخول الهواء النقي سواء وُجدت تهوية صناعية أَمْ لا؛

The windows shall be large enough to enable the prisoners to read or work by natural light and shall be so constructed that they can allow the entrance of fresh air whether or not there is artificial ventilation;

las ventanas serán suficientemente grandes para que puedan leer y trabajar con luz natural y estarán construidas de manera que pueda entrar aire fresco, haya o no ventilación artificial;

Les fenêtres doivent être suffisamment grandes pour que le détenu puisse lire et travailler à la lumière naturelle et être agencées de façon à permettre l’entrée d’air frais, avec ou sans ventilation artificielle ;
