وحافظت الأمانة أيضا على علاقة عمل ودية مع شعبة شؤون المحيطات وقانون البحار التابعة لمكتب الشؤون القانونية بالأمانة العامة وهي تشارك بنشاط في شبكة الأمم المتحدة للمحيطات والمناطق الساحلية وفي الأفرقة العاملة ذات الصلة التابعة لها مثل فرقة العمل المعنية بالتنوع الأحيائي البحري في المناطق الواقعة خارج نطاق الولاية الوطنية.

The secretariat also maintains a cordial working relationship with the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea of the Office of Legal Affairs of the Secretariat and participates actively in UN-Oceans and its relevant working groups such as the United Nations-Oceans Task Force on Biodiversity in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction.
