By the end of the performance period, the estimated number of internally displaced persons in Darfur was 2.6 million, and according to the 2016 humanitarian needs overview, some 3.3 million people are currently in need of humanitarian assistance in Darfur, with durable solutions remaining out of reach for the vast majority of them.
