In 2009 the restriction was partially lifted and the EU recommended that the Angolan airline resume flights between Luanda and Lisbon, with the Instituto Nacional de Aviação Civil (National Civil Aviation Institute) commiting to do inspections on the aircraft that operated this route.

Em 2009 a restrição foi parcialmente levantada e a UE recomendou que a companhia angolana retomasse os voos entre Luanda e Lisboa, tendo o Instituto Nacional de Aviação Civil (INAC), se comprometido a fazer as inspecções aos aparelhos que operariam nesta rota.
