وكان آخر موضوع باق دون حل يتعلق بنظام استخراج المعادن من قاع البحار، الذي جرى حلّه أيضا من خلال توافق الآراء باعتماد الجمعية العامة في تموز/يوليه 1994 الاتفاق المتعلق بتنفيذ أحكام الجزء الحادي عشر من الاتفاقية.

The last remaining issue, that relating to the regime for the mining of minerals from the deep seabed, was also resolved by consensus through the adoption by the General Assembly in July 1994 of the Agreement relating to the implementation of the provisions of Part XI of the Convention.
